Brisbane Hockey Management Group

The Brisbane Hockey Management Group Inc (BHMG) is an initiative of the Brisbane Hockey Association Inc (BHA), the Brisbane Women's Hockey Association Inc (BWHA) and Kedron Wavell Services Hockey Club Inc (KWS) to jointly manage Hockey facilities within the greater Brisbane region. The current Board of Management consists of: Ian Harcla; Ian Jones; Kathleen Proctor; Paul Saunders; Greg Swann; Karin Walduck.

The initial focus of the BHMG initiative will be the ongoing operation and management of the Burringbar Park Facility, at Chermside. This facility consists of a single artificial surface and two natural grass fields.

Removal of the old carpet !Brisbane Hockey Management Group (BHMG) is pleased to announce the completion of the upgrade of the turf at Burringbar Park and acknowledges the support of the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council for the project. The new turf enables BHMG to continue to provide fixtures and training in 2011. It is also plays an important role in the avaialability of turf facilities to meet the demand for Brisbae Hockey.

The completion of the turf upgrade gives Brisbane Hockey four turf venues with relatively new surfaces. The project was made possible by the support of the Queensland Government through a Minor Facilities Grant for the project.

Stretching - the new carpet goes in! Finished - grooming! Then ready to play!

The Brisbane City Council has also supported the project through a Community Grant.

The support of the Queensland Government and the Brisbane City Council has meant that BHMG now has Burringbar Park on line for the 2011 to continue to meet the high demand for artificial surfaces in Brisbane.
